If you are looking for the best, go ahead and do some research. Clayton machines are not cheap, but you will only buy them once. They are made in the USA through and through! The spindle is driven by 2 cogged v-belts, off a 1/2HP Baldor motor. The model 140 has a 4.5" spindle that's 1/2" in diameter. The model 146 has a 9" spindle that's 3/4" in diameter. The ground steel table measures 14" x 21". Both models supplied as 110V.

Included are four sizes of drums ( Model 140 - 1/2", 3/4", 2", and 3". Model 146 - 3/4", 1", 2", and 3") and matching table inserts. Simply drop the insert into position, adjust it to lay perfectly flush with the table surface utilizing the four leveling screws, and your ready to go. Each machine also includes 16 sanding sleeves in four different grits and a convenient drum rack to help you stay organized.
